I have been saying for a number of years that local is the new organic but it seems that is now so early-2000's. We are moving beyond this into new concepts of sustainable. Food miles are not enough and yet we are really returning to the original ideas of regenerative agriculture espoused by the senior &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome_Irving_Rodale"&gt;Rodale&lt;/a&gt; and, indeed, to &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Albert_Howard"&gt;Sir Albert Howard&lt;/a&gt;.
