Very interesting article in Mother Jones about the ever-changing target that is sustainability. I have been saying for a number of years that local is the new organic but it seems that is now so early-2000's. We are moving beyond this into new concepts of sustainable. Food miles are not enough and yet we are really returning to the original ideas of regenerative agriculture espoused by the senior Rodale and, indeed, to Sir Albert Howard. Lady Eve Balfour discussed this in her classic The Living Soil.
